AquaChek 7-in-1
Free Bromine reading of 1 ppm
Critical low
What it means
Free bromine at 1 ppm is below the safe sanitizing level for a bromine pool. The pool is unsafe to swim and bacteria can multiply within hours. Often caused by an empty feeder or feeder rate set too low.
What to do
Refill the bromine feeder and open the rate one notch. If still low after 24 hours, shock with non-chlorine shock (MPS) at 1 lb per 10,000 gallons to regenerate the bromide reserve into active bromine.
